This research aims to understand the behavior of online game players to describe types of players, identify unexpected behaviors, and classify them into different groups. For example, one of the objectives is to generate a model to identify compulsive game players, separating them from professional players. The idea is to identify groups of risk (compulsive game behavior).

Online gambling may cause potentially disastrous social and personal consequences that could result in an overall deterioration of social and familial relationships.


  1. Prevent a citizen from becoming an addicted gambler;
  2. Reduce the social costs associated with gambling addiction;
  3. Reduce the government’s expenses needed to support the treatment of addicted gamblers.
