Understanding the drivers of academic achievement Evidence for Portugal’s high school system
This project will combine behavioral science with data science methods to understand the antecedents of academic achievement, on a national scale, using micro-data from Portuguese public high schools.
Societal impact:
Help Portugal and other European member-states achieve the Europe 2020 goals, by:
- Supporting fact-based decision making at public policy level;
- Develop and provide a set of predictive models about students’ predicted academic achievement;
- Provide a comprehensive set of suggestions for the Portuguese Ministry of Education’s database future systems.
