The project intends to tackle the skills gaps and mismatches related to European-level Clinical Trial Professionals through curriculum development and preparation of e-learning material for the career development of biomedical (medical, pharmacy, clinical research master) students.

According to ECRIN Network (which is part of the the roadmap of the European Strategy Forum on Research Infrastructures) there is a shortage of outstanding level of clinical trial professionals at national levels which would be the basis of the higher number of international cllinical trials in order to contribute to a healthier Europe.

In CONSCIOUS project the planned European and world-wide level of e-learning material and curriculum will meet the needs of biomedical students towards having a very unique and socially useful career via an innovative online, work-based, multi-disciplinary learning model. The cooperation between project partners and the associated partners gives a solution to real-world problems (development of innovative health products, exploration of new indications for authorised health products, comparative assessment of efficacy and safety of approved healthcare strategies) via increasing the efficiency of international clinical trials.
