NOVA IMS exceeds the National average in the Awarding of FCT PhD Research Grants

NOVA IMS achieved a 50% success rate in the Call for PhD Research Grants launched by the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), with 8 of the 16 applications submitted receiving funding. This result stands well above the national success rate of 28% and recognises the quality of the research projects presented by the candidates, as well as the work of their respective supervisory teams.

The successful applications cover areas including artificial intelligence, healthcare, education, mobility, public policy, the cultural and creative industries, market analysis, and precision viticulture, reflecting the diversity and relevance of the research conducted at NOVA IMS and within the MagIC research centre.
