NOVA DAH Infrastructure

The NOVA DAH ecosystem comprises three main computational resources:

NOVA DAH 01

High-Performance Computing Server (HPC)

A HPC server designed for machine learning training, deep learning models, scientific simulations, and medium-to-high intensity data analytics pipelines.

  • 2× NVIDIA RTX 6000 ADA GPUs
  • 7 TB NVMe high-speed storage
NOVA DAH 02

Next-Generation HPC

top-tier high-performance computing system optimized for large-scale AI, generative models, parallel computing, and massive data processing.

  • 112 CPU cores
  • 2× NVIDIA H100 NVL GPUs (world-class AI performance)
  • 500 TB storage

This system provides significantly higher computational power and storage capacity, making it suitable for foundational models, large-scale AI research, and highly intensive workloads

NOVA DAH WS

16 Advanced Workstations

Located in the PhD Hall (3rd floor), the NOVA DAH WS consists of:

  • 16 Lenovo ThinkStation P5 units
  • Intel Xeon processors
  • 32 GB RAM each
  • NVIDIA RTX 2000 GPUs
  • 1 TB SSD per workstation
  • Windows 11 Education
  • Extensive licensed and open-source software ecosystem

These workstations are particularly suited for teaching laboratories, project development, model prototyping, analytics, visualization, and applied coursework

NOVA DAH 01 vs NOVA DAH 02

Choosing the Right High-Performance Environment

Both NOVA DAH 01 and NOVA DAH 02 are advanced HPC systems designed to support data science, AI, and computational research. However, they differ significantly in computational scale, performance level, and ideal use cases.

CPU Capacity

DAH 02 provides approximately 3.5× more CPU capacity than DAH 01, enabling higher parallelism and more demanding compute workloads.

GPU Performance

In AI and HPC benchmarks, DAH 02 can be 6× to 10× more powerful in GPU workloads, depending on the task type.

Storage Capacity

DAH 02 offers approximately 71× more storage capacity, making it ideal for:

  • Massive datasets
  • Long-term research projects
  • Multi-user large-scale experiments
  • Data-intensive AI pipelines
