Tiago Oliveira and Catarina Neves, professors at NOVA IMS, were present in Turkey, in Ankara, under the scope of the European Project De-Risk!

This project aims to support the acceptance in the market of renewable energy systems, promoting the creation and participation in local energy markets. This will allow greater flexibility of the energy network and will increase the production and consumption of renewable energies instead of fossil fuels.

These communities are based on digital twin technologies implemented in the buildings and energy network of a community. In this way, it will be possible to perform real-time simulations and minimize any operational risks in the implementation of these local sustainable communities.
