TwinAIR Digital Twins Enabled Indoor Air Quality Management for Healthy Living

TwinAIR aims to improve urban life by tackling the challenge of indoor air quality improvement by understating its complex interrelationship with external factors. Introducing a novel set of tools for identifying sources and tracing a variety of pollutants for enhancing understanding of their effects and assessing their impact on health, for controlling building management systems and services in ways that mitigate part of the impacts and help citizens to develop better insights into pollution impacts.

NOVA IMS leads the socio-economic Factors Analysis and Methodological Framework WP (Citizens environmental behavioural analysis task).

Societal impact:

  1. Community building and empowerment;
  2. Digital twin (DT) to empower the user to leverage highly accurate virtual representations of the indoor environment and IAQ, to Increase social benefits related to energy cost reduction
  3. Increase the user acceptance towards the tools that will be developed help, and help users to improve their air quality raising awareness regarding the potential harmful effects caused by these pollutants.
