Dominik Hartmann
Dominik Hartmann is a Professor at the Department for Economics and International Relations at the Federal University of Santa Catarina.
He holds a PhD in Innovation Economics from the University of Hohenheim, Germany (2014); Master's Degree in International Economics and Development from the Complutense University of Madrid, Spain (2010); and a degree in Business Administration from the University of Augsburg, Germany (2006).
He was an EU Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) in 2014-2015, and a visiting fellow in several further leading research institutions in the Netherlands, UK, Spain, Turkey, Peru, and Brazil.
His research analyzes the relationships between innovation, structural change and inequality and has been published in journals such as World Development, Research Policy, Structural Change and Economic Dynamics, Social Indicators Research, The R Journal, and Scientometrics.
Moreover, he has experience in several consultancy projects for the World Bank and the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) on smart diversification and inclusive growth strategies
