About the event
The Argos Workshop is organized by FCCN, the Scientific Computing Unit of the Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT), with the support of NOVA IMS. This workshop is designed to equip researchers with the essential skills and knowledge to create and manage Data Management Plans (DMPs) using the Argos platform.
Argos is an open-source tool that helps researchers align with FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) data principles and comply with open science and research data management (RDM) requirements set by funders such as Horizon Europe and FCT. Given that submitting a DMP is mandatory for projects funded under these programs, this workshop provides a valuable opportunity to understand and apply best practices in research data management.
This workshop is intended for professors, researchers, and PhD students from NOVA IMS and IHMT. Participants will gain hands-on experience in data stewardship, ensuring compliance with open science policies while improving the long-term impact and accessibility of their research data.
The training will be conducted by experts from FCCN (Filipa Pereira, Pedro Sobral, and Sara Pestana) who will guide attendees through best practices in RDM and provide practical exercises using Argos to develop structured and effective DMPs.
