Conference: "Competitive Intelligence Scientist: the Sexiest Job of the Future”

Moderators - Miguel de Castro Neto, Luís Madureira and Cam Mackey

In 2012, Harvard Business Review put the Data Scientist job on the map as: "the people who understand how to fish out answers to important business questions from today's tsunami of unstructured information.” What makes a Competitive Intelligence Scientist (CIS) different? Join us in an informal conversation with leaders from all over the world to discuss the CIS's critical role in the future of organisations, and how you can be a part of it!

Event Wrap Up

This conference was held last January 6th, live on Facebook from NOVA IMS and Zoom Platform. This session was integrated in the new Executive Program Competitive Intelligence & Data-Driven Decision Making, in partnership with SCIP. Despite being surrounded by data and armed with almost limitless computing power, the role of human judgment in making strategic decisions has never been more important. What is the job and the skills of a CIS were some of the questions asked during the discussion between the speakers (Professor Luis Madureira, Professor Miguel de Castro Neto, Cam Mackey, Paul Santilli, Cynthia Correia, Aurélien Blaha, Nelson Silva, Jonathan Calof) and the participants.
