On 12 December 2025, NOVA University Lisbon will host NOVA Science & Innovation Day, an event dedicated to excellence in research and innovation, which will take place at the Rectorate of NOVA University Lisbon.

Throughout the day, the program will bring together researchers, policymakers and industry partners for sessions on NOVA’s research projects, Open Science initiatives such as Re.Data and NOVA.ID-RDM-CC, and interdisciplinary collaborations supported by the Ignition Grants with Santander Portugal Foundation.

In the afternoon, a round table on FP10 will address the future of European research funding, while doctoral students present their work in pitch format.

Running in parallel, the Innovation Fair will highlight technologies and spin-offs from across the NOVA ecosystem.

MagIC will be strongly represented, with contributions that reflect the quality and impact of our research. 

Key moments featuring NOVA IMS include:

• 09h45 – Research Highlights: AI in Public Procurement presented by Bruno Damásio (IMS).
• 12h15 – Interdisciplinary Research (PhD Flashtalks): Mariana Carrilho (IMS) presenting her interdisciplinary research.
• 15h00 – NOVA Research Impact Narratives & Awards: two MagIC researchers will be awarded — identities strictly confidential until the ceremony.
