Global ICT Experts Gather at NOVA IMS for QUATIC 2025

Detalhe da Notícia

From September 3–5, 2025, NOVA IMS hosted the 18th edition of QUATIC – the International Conference on the Quality of Information and Communications Technology – at its Lisbon campus, with the support of MagIC.

The conference welcomed over 70 participants from 21 countries, representing a diverse mix of academia and industry. A total of 97 papers were submitted, with 52 peer-reviewed papers presented during the event.

Discussions and research presentations centered on how to improve the quality of digital technologies, with particular emphasis on Artificial Intelligence, the challenges and opportunities of Large Language Models in education, and new approaches to technology design and management. These themes were explored across a range of tracks—including requirements engineering, security and privacy, sustainable computing, human and ethical aspects, and quality in the age of AI. The program also featured a PhD Symposium, supporting early-stage research and fostering dialogue among emerging scholars in the field.

The conference proceedings will be published in the Springer Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series, indexed in major academic databases. Authors of selected top papers will be invited to submit extended versions for a special issue of the Software Quality Journal, themed “Software Quality in an AI-Driven World.”
