NOVA IMS drives national Research Data Management initiatives
Detalhe da Notícia
NOVA IMS has successfully secured funding for two national initiatives focused on enhancing research data management (RDM) competencies and infrastructure. These projects aim to strengthen the capacity of researchers through targeted training, advanced tools, and tailored resources.
As a key partner in the "RE.DATA – Research Data Management Network," NOVA IMS will contribute to the "Research Data Curation and Publishing" workstream, developing national RDM policies, training programs, and data curation frameworks. The initiative focuses on improving data stewardship practices and ensuring accessibility across research domains.
In parallel, the NOVA.ID Competence Centre will work on establishing scalable RDM infrastructure and implementing best practices. This effort will directly support NOVA IMS researchers by providing specialized training and expert guidance to meet international standards and enhance research impact.
The approval of these projects in a competitive FCT funding call reflects the outstanding work of the NOVA IMS science management team and Library and Documentation Services. These initiatives, set to launch in the coming months, position NOVA IMS as a leader in advancing research data governance in Portugal.
