Pedro Sobral

Pedro Sobral is a science manager in the POLEN - Research Data service at the Scientific Computing Unit (FCCN) of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), supporting the scientific research and higher education community and promoting the practice of open science and FAIR data management.

He has a degree in Political Science from the Universidade de Lisboa and specializes in Comparative Politics and Electoral Systems. He has been a member of research projects in his area of specialization.

More recently, he has worked in Research and Development (R&D) management in national research units, where he was involved in scientific evaluation metrics processes and CRIS systems. From 2022 to 2024 he was a member of the FCCN-FCT National Science Management Programme (PTCRIS) team.

His interests include open science, research data management, public policies and efficient processes.
