Sara Pestana

Sara Pestana is a science manager at the POLEN – Research Data service in the Scientific Computing unit (FCCN) of the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT), supporting the research and higher education community in promoting open science and FAIR data management.

With a degree in Biomedical Sciences, Sara holds a master's in molecular medicine and a PhD in Developmental Biology. Throughout her career, she has worked in research and development (R&D), with experience in clinical trials.

Her interests include open science, research data management, scientific development and public policy.
