Two NOVA IMS researchers among the world’s top 0.1% most influential scientists

Tiago Oliveira and Jörg Henseler, researchers at NOVA IMS, have been included in the prestigious Highly Cited Researchers 2024 list by Clarivate™, which recognizes scientists and academics whose work shapes the future of knowledge in their fields.

From a total of 6,636 researchers selected across 59 countries, Tiago Oliveira has earned this distinction for the fourth consecutive year, thanks to his groundbreaking research in behavioral technology, digital transformation, and the societal impact of innovation. Jörg Henseler, returning to the list, is celebrated for his pioneering contributions to science marketing and structural equation modeling.

The Highly Cited Researchers list identifies the top 0.1% of the world’s researchers, equivalent to just 1 in every 1,000 scientists globally. Selection is based on the number of publications ranked in the top 1% of citations over the past decade, underlining the significant and lasting impact of their work. This year, only 18 researchers from 11 institutions in Portugal were included in the list, making this achievement particularly noteworthy for NOVA IMS. It highlights the school’s growing reputation as a leader in data science and information management.
