About the Project

BUDS - Building Up Digital Strategists

This project addresses the significant digital skills gap in Europe, particularly within the management consulting sector. Recognizing the pivotal role of digital transformation in economic growth, BUDS aims to equip higher education students with the necessary competencies to support and lead digital innovation initiatives.

The project focuses on developing a blended learning course in digital management consulting, comprising three self-standing e-learning modules and an experiential-based intensive training program. This curriculum is designed to provide learners with both theoretical knowledge and practical experience, ensuring they are well-prepared to meet the demands of the evolving digital landscape.

By fostering innovative teaching methodologies and bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements, BUDS contributes to the creation of a workforce adept at navigating and driving digital transformation processes

Partnership

The BUDS project was coordinated by the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy) and included Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (Spain), University of Eastern Finland (Finland), University of Antwerp (Belgium), and NOVA IMS (Portugal).

This partnership united leading European institutions, combining expertise from multiple disciplines to address the challenges of digital transformation in the management consulting sector.

Our Contribution

NOVA IMS played a crucial role in developing and delivering the blended learning course on digital management consulting. Leveraging its expertise in information management and data science, NOVA IMS contributed to the design of e-learning modules and facilitated experiential learning sessions. We also participated in creating guidelines for innovative course design formats that offer experiential learning opportunities, thereby enhancing the educational experience for learners.
