European Online Masters Programme focused on the practical application of Advanced Digital Skills within European SMEs and Companies
About the project:
Digital4Business will design and implement a highly innovative, effective, and sustainable European Masters Programme in Advanced Digital Skills. It will focus on the practical application of Advanced Digital Skills within European Business, an entirely market-led academic programme driven and designed to meet SMEs and companies' current and future bourgeoning (up)-skill needs.
The project will contribute to the overall objectives of the DIGITAL Europe Programme by fast-tracking a high number of graduates through a dynamic pan-European stakeholder ecosystem, as these skills are pivotal to European businesses´ ongoing competitiveness and growth.
Main objectives and activities:
The Master's Programme will be designed as a 2-year intensive course. During the four-year duration, the aim is to deliver 2 full academic programmes.
Courses will blend academic and industry content to ensure that graduates are equipped with theoretical and job-ready digital skills that will undoubtedly grant job success conditions. Online teaching and learning environments will be used, combining in-house tools of the participating universities and new tools to support the students’ learning opportunities the best.
As it is a market-oriented study programme, the European Masters will meet the specific needs of industry from a content and certification perspective. The programme will also be designed to closely align with the business calendar rather than academia, with a programme of Trimesters instead of the traditional semesters, making it even more attractive and practical for the potential students and industry participants to cooperate in the programme delivery.
Each academic year will be divided into three trimesters of three months each, congruent with quarters 1, 2 and 4 of the business year. This strategy provides much more flexibility, especially in the case of students who want to undertake part-time studies. From the content perspective, the programme will concentrate on AI, Cybersecurity, Cloud, and Data Analytics as core trimesters; with elective modules in other key emerging technologies such as Blockchain, IoT, and Quantum.
