We are excited to announce the 2nd Portuguese Symposium on Philosophy and Artificial Intelligence, co-organized by the MagIC research centre (NOVA IMS), NOVA FCSH, and CFCUL. This year's symposium, themed "Being Human in the Age of Artificial Intelligence", will take place on September 26-27, 2024 at the Fórum Cultural de Alcochete, near Lisbon, Portugal.

About the Symposium: Following the success of the inaugural event, this year's symposium aims to delve deeper into the profound impact of AI on our society and our very essence as human beings. The omnipresence of AI in contemporary life is reshaping our actions, thoughts, and feelings. This symposium will explore these changes and discuss how humanity can navigate and influence them.

The event will feature keynote speeches, round tables, and technical communications, fostering interdisciplinary collaboration among academics, industry professionals, and civil society stakeholders.

Call for Communications: We invite submissions for oral and poster presentations that address the symposium's central theme and related topics. Researchers from AI, philosophy, humanities, arts, and social sciences are encouraged to submit abstracts.
